The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness about gender-based violence and its pervasive impact on women worldwide. By educating our community about the forms of violence, highlighting the shocking statistics, and advocating for respect and equality, the campaign strives to foster a culture of safety and empowerment. Ultimately, it aims to inspire action, promote prevention, and work toward a world where women can live free from violence, fear, and discrimination.

In light of yesterday being the • 🌻International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 🌻•, a global call to raise awareness about gender-based violence and its devastating impact, we are sharing a series of posts tackling the issue! But first things first:

According to the UN, it’s “any act of gender-based violence that results in physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women, including threats, coercion, or deprivation of liberty, whether in public or private life.”

Physical abuse (e.g., hitting, assault).
Sexual violence (e.g., harassment, rape, trafficking).
Emotional abuse (e.g., threats, humiliation, isolation).
Economic violence (e.g., controlling finances, denying resources).
