To show the beauty of the city of Camerino
The ancient capital of the Duchy of Da Varano, Camerino is a historical town with a great cultural tradition, so much so that its University was founded in the Middle Ages. The town stands on a hill, between the Chienti and Potenza valleys, nestled between the Sibillini Mountains and Mount San Vicino: its position gives it the privilege of a hilly landscape of great charm, where cultivated fields and small woods alternate. The historical centre boasts several buildings of great value, including the Ducal Palace with its Sala degli Sposi (Hall of the Spouses) with 15th-century frescoes, the Archbishop's Palace housing the Diocesan Museum, the Cathedral, the S. Domenico Museum Centre with its rich art gallery, and the Basilica of S. Venanzio. In the territory, castles and fortresses of the Varanesque dukedom can be admired.
