Buddy Family Evening: Ace of Diamonds

The activity consisted of two parts. The first part was a Buddy Family dinner at De Serre van Cleopatra (Stationsstraat 5, 6701 AM) which included 35 buddy members (both mentors and kids). The dinner included 35 Buddy members and they all received one meal, either a pizza or other vegetarian or gluten-free meal alongside a free drink. The dinner took around an hour and a half and was then followed by the second round, a music bingo. The game took place at the Global Lounge (Plantage 2, 6708 WJ) and was based around guessing the different songs played from a custom-made music album. The bingo was accompanied by this year’s long-planned theme for the Battle of the Buddy Families - the Realm of Cards and the Borderlands, a world inspired by Asian contemporary pop culture. A special reiteration of the theme and the Battle of the Buddy Families was made before the Music Bingo began which gave some members clarification to their questions. The mention that the game was based around the thematic of the Diamonds, specifically that it was an Ace of Diamonds that granted some nice rewards for first, second and third places created a lot of intrigue and raised some strong demand to win. Many Buddy members came from the dinner, furthermore, members that could not join the dinner prior also joined the Music Bingo. There were three winners from different Buddy Families. The Ace of Diamonds was then declared as GAME CLEAR (all part of the thematic) and there was further interest and discussion on what that meant. Everything went very smooth and we cleaned and reorganized the Global Lounge after.
