Goal of the Activity

Visiting one of the biggest antique bazaars that is held once a month!

Description

Ayrancı antique bazaar is Ankara's one of the biggest antique bazaars which is organized only on the fisrt sunday of the month. This vibrant market offers a rich variety of antiques, vintage items, collectibles, and handicrafts. Local vendors showcase an array of unique products, including old coins, vintage clothing, jewelry, records, and nostalgic household items. It’s a favorite spot for both locals and tourists who enjoy discovering rare pieces and connecting with Ankara’s past.

Before entering the bazaar place volunteers gave some insightful tips to the participants about bargaining. The volunteers also helped with the communication between the clerk. Beautiful rings, captivating books, and charming postcards were bought, while participants reminisced over nostalgic items from their childhood. Gifts for familiy and friends were bought. After browsing through all the trade stalls, delicious gözleme, flatbread stuffed with various fresh ingredients, was purchased. Students engaged in friendly conversations with the cooks, learning about the process on how to make this traditional cuisine.
