One of the main goals of this conference, organized by ESN L’Aquila in collaboration with AVIS L’Aquila, is to raise genuine awareness about the importance of blood donation. We want to help people truly understand how such a simple act can have a life-changing impact. It's not just about facts and numbers—it’s about real stories, real lives, and the power we all have to help.
Another important aspect is promoting active citizenship. For many of our international students, this might be their first encounter with local health initiatives. So, we see this event as an opportunity to show that giving back to the community is something anyone can do—regardless of where they’re from. It’s a beautiful way to feel connected to the city and its people.
We also hope the conference becomes a space for breaking down barriers. Blood donation is a universal act of kindness—it doesn’t care about nationality, language, or background. Through this shared cause, we want to strengthen the sense of community and foster a culture of empathy and solidarity.
Finally, by the end of the session, we’d love for participants to feel empowered. Whether they choose to register as donors or simply walk away with more awareness, it’s all about planting a seed. Maybe this event sparks a long-term commitment, or maybe it’s just the start of a conversation—but either way, it matters.
