The main goal is to transition newbies into active members, by rewarding them for their work so far, and motivating them to volunteer in the future. Moreover, the event sets to further the networking between the section’s members and through fostering and deepening their friendships to improve overall cooperation and collegial environment in the section. This is also probably the only event when other board members except HR do not participate in organizing at all, in order to to mix the board and regular members together.
Each semester, our section organizes a weekend teambuilding several weeks after the Orientation Week. Board members, active members, and newbies spend a weekend together, during which they can share their experiences, train cooperation, and learn about ESN and all the opportunities it has to offer.
The whole weekend has a schedule, starting on Friday with icebreaker and speed friending activities, continuing with Causes focused team games on Saturday, and finishing on Sunday with discussion and question rounds and cleaning time.
