The goal of the activity was to welcome erasmus students in Thessaloniki and to make them familiria with the traditions related to the day of Thsiknopempti.

We’ll have sizzling grills with mouthwatering souvlaki, perfect for satisfying your hunger, along with a variety of refreshing drinks to keep you cool.
Tsiknopempti, or "Smoky Thursday," is a key day in Greece’s Carnival season (Apokries), celebrated with feasting on grilled meats before Lent. The name comes from "tsikna" (the smell of roasted meat) and "Pempti" (Thursday). Part of global Carnival traditions, it aligns with lively festivals, featuring parades, costumes, and music before the fasting period begins.
Get ready to tap your feet as we share some of Greece’s most iconic dances, and feel free to join in on the fun! Whether you're a dancer or just a fan, there’s something for everyone.
