Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to let the international student experience a new way of visiting a museum. The Museo Tattile Statale Omero is full of statues that the partecipats can feel witht their hands so they can understand that the art can be appreciate also with other senses instead of the sight alone.

Description

The museum guide explained what is a tactile museum and how it works.

The participants were blindfolded and guided towards a statue; they could touch the statue for as long as they wanted and then they where brought to another room. Here, the museum guide asked them to draw what they thought they were touching and then they were brought back to the other room to see if they could recognise their statues.

Everyone had a lot of fun and the participants were very entusiastic to have found another way to visit a museum.
