This activity was carried out in a weekend. From Palma we headed to Sant Elm by public transport on Saturday morning, then we hiked to La Trapa (2h 30 min) where we stayed until Sunday afternoon doing a bit of volunteering.
When we got to the mountain, the main organizer of the GOB (ONG) explained to us the characteristics of the place, as well as the functions that we would carry out during the weekend. After lunch we had free time to rest and enjoy the views.
The tasks of the farm consisted of the maintenance and care of the place. The tasks we carried out were especially weeding, path cleaning, path cleaning and restoration of a fountain. We volunteer for two or three hours.
After dinner we did various games and exercises, we observed the stars and the constellations, we sang songs with the ukulele and we talked with the local guide. All this made us able to unite more as a group.
We had free time until 00:00. From this moment we remain silent to take advantage of the hours of rest.
On Sunday for breakfast, ESN offered a wide variety of breakfast products for the whole group, taking into account everyone's allergies and intolerances. Then we resume volunteering until lunchtime. It should be noted that ESN provided healthy and local food, during each and every one of the meals.
Around 4:00 p.m. we started the walk back to Sant Elm where some Erasmus students took the opportunity to be on one of the nearby beaches. And some others we return directly to Palma by bus.
