Our main goal was to display the cultural heritage and the history of Pavia to the international students in a online version of the classic city tour.
The structure of the city tour was as follows:
2 hosts would prepare a three-part city tour. In the beginning host n. 1 held a brief introduction speech about Pavia's history through the centuries. After that host n. 2 would proceed to open Google Street View via shared screen, and "walk" the students through the city, visiting the Duomo, the main Square and the Ponte Vecchio, one of the most emblematic symbols of Pavia. Then host n.1 would re enter the scene and present the rest of the important monuments to the students: the three towers, the university and the castle. Both hosts would stop about 5 minutes at every building and explain its history, legends and curiosities about it and then proceed to the next one.
Once the city tour through street view was over, we proposed a Kahoot Quiz to the students where they could prove their acquired knowledge about Pavia.
