The goal of the trip to Verona was to provide international students with an opportunity to explore one of Italy’s most renowned cities, famously associated with the story of Romeo and Juliet. By walking around the historic center with knowledgeable guides, students were able to deeply engage with the city's rich history and cultural heritage, enriching their understanding of Italian culture. Additionally, organizing this trip in the early weeks of their arrival in Milan aimed to help students make new acquaintances and integrate more easily into their new social environment, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
The Verona trip began with a gathering in front of Bocconi University, where students enjoyed a brief breakfast before departing for Verona by private bus. Upon arrival, experienced local guides led a comprehensive tour of the city's historic center, providing insightful commentary on Verona’s history and landmarks. After the guided tour, students had lunch on their own and enjoyed free time in the afternoon to explore the city at their leisure. The day concluded with a meeting point in the evening for the return journey to Milan by the same bus. This well-organized trip offered a perfect blend of guided learning and independent exploration, making it an enriching and enjoyable experience for all participants.
