Ho Ho Ho Everybody, Christmas is here
Unfortunately, due to the corona measures many christmas markets around the Netherlands were cancelled. However, ESN Leiden is still determined to bring you a Christmas experience you won't forget!
Therefore, we will be visiting Valkenburg (only three short hours away) for an unforgettable Christmas experience. Valkenburg is an adorable medieval town thats known for its many Christmas markets during the holiday season.
We will be visiting a few different of these markets including the oldest, largest, and most visited underground christmas market in Europe; the underground marl tunnels of the Wilhelmina cave to experience the unique nativity scene; and a Christmas market in the heart of Valkenburg.
The ticket includes:
- Train tickets to and from Valkenburg (optional)
- Christmas Market Municipal Cave entrance
- Winter Wonderland underground nativity scene
- Return ticket for the Cable car to Wilhelminatoren (Christmas market at the top)
- Santa’s Village
We will be leaving from Leiden quite early (around 7:40) as we do have a long train ride ahead of us to get to Valkenburg so please keep that in mind! But it will be totally worth it don't worry!
