The main objective of "The Unlonely Project" is to foster empathy and provide tangible support to vulnerable members of the local community, specifically homeless individuals served by the Zupa Na Plantach organization. The goal is to combat loneliness and isolation by creating personalized birthday cards, demonstrating that the student community cares.
"The Unlonely Project: Birthday Card Edition" is a creative and social volunteering activity focused on making birthday cards for homeless people. Participants met in a dedicated space and were encouraged to bring art supplies and decorative materials they already own or items easily repurposed from home, thereby minimizing new consumption and promoting resourcefulness. The completed cards, along with collected chocolate donations from the concurrent Chocolate Drive, will be handed over to the local organization Zupa Na Plantach for distribution.
This is a low-pressure, high-impact activity that promotes mental well-being and active citizenship. It provides an excellent, accessible way for students to contribute directly to social good, practice teamwork, and engage in meaningful conversations while enjoying a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
