The objectives of this activity were multiple, and we feel confident in saying that we succeeded in achieving each one of them.
First and foremost, it was important for us to give our Erasmus students the opportunity to further integrate into the local community, providing a concrete demonstration of how international students can enrich society. The enthusiasm they showed in taking part in a national event that highlighted their host city was our greatest victory.
Another one of our goals was to strengthen the bonds between the Italian volunteer members and the international students, especially those who will remain in the coming years, as for others these were their last weeks in Ancona. We can confidently say that the atmosphere created during the festival days, which can still be felt today, demonstrates that activities of this kind are essential for fostering even stronger ties among them.
Lastly, as we always say, the promotion of Ancona and our region is of utmost importance to us. Participating in an event that allowed us to highlight collaboration with an international team while also promoting our city seemed, from the very beginning, the best choice we could make
UlisseFest is a celebration of travel in all its facets. Four days entirely dedicated to the beauty of our world from a cultural, artistic, and philosophical perspective! Exhibitions, conferences, film forums, concerts, workshops, and much more!
For its seventh edition, UlisseFest landed in the capital of the Marche region, and ESN Ancona couldn’t have welcomed this initiative with more enthusiasm and passion.
Proud of our mission, ESN Ancona decided to ‘enrich society through international students’ by providing UlisseFest’s organizing committee with a team of 23 people, consisting of volunteer members from our section and 10 international students.
Supporting a festival that annually celebrates the beauty of cultural exchange in all its forms seemed the perfect way to further emphasize the international character of our city, involving our students in a nationally renowned event.
