The main objective of the activity was to show our international students the cultural and environmental heritage of our region. To do this, we visited one of the most characteristic areas of Tuscany, both from the point of view of nature and of culture and food and wine tradition: the Val D'Orcia.
We visited two hidden gems of the Val D'Orcia, one of the most characteristic areas of our region, namely the Bagni Termali di San Filippo and the village of Montepulciano.
The thermal baths are natural hot water springs that have caused the formation of waterfalls and peculiarly shaped calcium structures, including one -the white whale- resembling a large whale. Here, after a short introduction to the area, we let our students relax in the thermal waters. In Montepulciano, on the other hand, we did a city tour of the main attractions of the village and its Christmas traditions and food and wine specialities.
