The goal of the event was to promote the cultural and historical knowledge of the visited cities, such as Siena and Naples, through sightseeing activities and guided tours. It also aimed to encourage socialization among international students from different countries, creating opportunities for meeting and exchanging experiences. Additionally, the event supported the integration of international students into local communities by collaborating with associations like ESN to offer cultural and social activities. The intention was to provide an engaging, well-organized, and comfortable travel experience, combining cultural, recreational, and logistical support.
The trip began with an early departure from Trento at 5:00 AM, and the group arrived in Siena around 10:00 AM. After leaving their luggage at the hotel, they visited the Pinacoteca of Siena, which showcased the region’s rich Renaissance art, and then explored the stunning Duomo of Siena. In the afternoon, the group enjoyed a guided city tour with the ESN Siena GES volunteers, who provided insightful commentary on the city's history and landmarks. The day concluded with a dinner shared with the international students, offering a chance to socialize and relax.
The following day, the group departed for Naples, arriving in the early afternoon. After checking in at their accommodation, they visited the Santa Chiara Monastic Complex and admired the beauty of Castel Nuovo, both key historical sites in the city. In the evening, the group joined another city tour led by the ESN Napoli volunteers, who introduced them to the city's vibrant culture and history. The night ended with a fun and lively evening in the Spanish Quarter, where the group spent time together in a local bar, interacting with both international students and volunteers.
On the final day, the group started the morning with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, where they explored its impressive collection of ancient artifacts. Afterward, they had some free time to wander around the city and enjoy a relaxed lunch. In the afternoon, the group began the journey back to Trento, with several stops along the way, and arrived late at night around midnight.
