The main goal of the trip was to introduce international students and volunteers to Armenia’s cultural heritage through hands-on experiences. By visiting the chocolate factory and the Perch Proshyan House Museum, the trip aimed to promote cultural learning, strengthen the sense of community, and encourage meaningful connections with local traditions and history.

This weekend’s trip to Ashtarak offered our students and volunteers a sweet and cultural escape from the city. The day included a visit to the local chocolate factory, where they got a behind-the-scenes look (and taste!) of Armenian chocolate-making, followed by an inspiring stop at the Perch Proshyan House Museum. Along the way, participants enjoyed the charm of Ashtarak and connected over shared experiences — making it not just a trip, but a deeper dive into Armenian culture and history.
