A joint hike from Oberwesel to St. Goar to explore the natural and cultural significance of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley in particular the Loreley legend, while combining nature experience, cultural education, and community.
Join us this Saturday, the 23rd of August, for a hike from Oberwesel to St. Goar. We’re hiking a trail that showcases the mythological Loreley rock!
You have probably heard tell of the legend of Loreley, a beautiful maiden who threw herself into the Rhine in despair over a faithless lover and was transformed into a siren who lured fishermen to destruction.
Though we can’t guarantee that you’ll see a hot mermaid on this trip, the hike does offer beautiful views along the UNESCO listed middle Rhine valley, with forests, vineyards, castles and the Rhine river.
This hike is suitable for beginners.
Bring food and water with you.
