The goal of this event is to visit other greek cities and learn their history and most important landmarks
Join us in our second trip of the semester in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece that lies in the region of Macedonia!
Having been selected as the Erasmus destination of the year, It is one of the liveliest places to visit with a unique history and lifestyle!
With its signature landmark, the White Tower, Thessaloniki is fascinating and famous for its lovely seaside promenade and numerous monuments that date back to the Roman and Byzantine eras (including various UNESCO World Heritage sites). Thessaloniki is the best place not only for sightseeing but also city exploration with loads of traditional delicacies to try while having a walk and cozy cafeterias to enjoy a drink!
During the trip, we’ll also have the chance to visit the Pozar thermal baths in the historic district of Pella, the capital of the Ancient Greek Kingdom of Macedonia and enjoy a bath in the hot waters at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan. We’ll also visit the archaeological site of Aigai (Vergina) and see the remains of what was the first capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia!
