Goal of the Activity

The objective was to learn about the traditions of Mexican culture on the Day of the Dead.

Description

The activity took place in a room at the Burgos science and technology station. The students were in charge of carrying out the activity. They made papel picado, flowers, bread of the dead to decorate the altar. While some Mexicans made the altar, others explained to us how to make papel picado and silk flowers. When they finished decorating the altar with food, flower, papel picado, photos of dead relatives, candles, a cross with salt... they explained to us the meaning of each thing. The main day of celebration of the Day of the Dead is November 2nd.
