The "Święconka & Picnic: Easter Saturday" goal was to provided an opportunity for students who stayed in Wrocław over the holidays to spend time together, ease feelings of homesickness, experience Polish Easter traditions, and feel part of a supportive community. The event was designed to foster integration, offer emotional support, and encourage active time outdoors, creating a warm atmosphere and giving participants the chance to build positive memories during a meaningful time.
The participants began the day with a visit to the Wrocław Cathedral, where they had the opportunity to experience one of Poland’s most important Easter traditions – the blessing of food. Afterwards, in a picnic atmosphere, they shared traditional dishes from their home countries, exchanging stories about their own Easter customs and memories.
The event was not only a chance to learn about Polish traditions but also an opportunity to build a sense of community, foster mutual understanding, and create a feeling of "home away from home" during a time that holds special significance for many participants.
