Show the international students a close by beach city and allow them to take a surf lesson, which for many of them was the first time. While doing a physical activity, we foster intercultural dialogue and sharing of experiences.
Hello everyone! Have you just arrived in Coimbra but all you can think about is the ocean? We know you want to enjoy the last days of summer, and that's why we planned a two-day trip to a little coastal city nearby, Figueira da Foz! Join us, meet more international students, get to know the city, the best places to eat and grab a beer, and of course, enjoy the beach as well as some surf classes in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! Things you should know about this trip:
• We are going by train (the trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes);
• Travel package of the Surf Trip includes: 1 surf class, accommodation, dinner and breakfast on the other day;
When you arrive, there will be someone from ESN ready to answer all your doubts, in case you have any.
Programme:
1ST DAY (25th September):
13:30 - Meeting Point: Coimbra train station
13:40 - Buy the tickets at Coimbra-A station
13:58 - Departure of the train
15:09 - Arrival to Figueira da Foz
16:00 – Surf class
19:00 – Arrival to the camping place
21:00 – Dinner with the group
2ND DAY (26th September): For those that don’t want to do the extra surf class, you can take a train to Coimbra when you want (there will be one train at 9:58 a.m. and the following trains will leave every hour).
You can bring food for lunch if you want, or we can eat something somewhere around there. You can also bring a towel, musical instruments, football and things to use at the beach and enjoy a lovely afternoon by the sea. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the fantastic beaches of Portugal while the weather is still good. We are waiting for you!
Attention!! We only have limited openings/spots for this trip! As well as, your place will only be secured after you do the payment at our ESN office!
