Goal of the Activity

The main goal of the support actions at the national level is to coordinate the efforts of the local sections, so that they work in a targeted manner which maximises the outcome and impact of their initiatives.

Description

Our five main support actions created an effective framework for local sections to get involved in specific ways, both on the ground and digitally:

  • Launching the Ukraine Support Group - centralising ways to help and other information, asking and answering questions relevant for the local sections, forum for discussing local and national updates;
  • Elaborating a guide on how to support Ukraine, with the help of the Events Manager - step-by-step guide for how local sections can take action, depending on their location and capabilities;
  • Hosting an extraordinary Ukraine Support Meeting -  tackling current needs that ESN can respond to at both local and national levels, possible collaborations with stakeholders, the way forward in terms of communication, as well as how to adapt our events to the current context;
  • Creating smaller working groups - three groups focusing on different tasks: centralisation, fundraising, communication;
  • "Ukraine Corner" at national events - a designated location during both internal and external events, where participants can purchase small items such as stickers or donate in a special box, all the raised funds being redirected to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
