Let's dance salsa is a project aimed at integration, learning about culture, building self-confidence, and most importantly improving your dance and language skills .
Dancing is not only a physical activity that improves appearance or motor coordination .
It also affects mood, development of interpersonal skills and body awareness.
The end of the project will be held at SGGW DAYS to promote mobility
Casino (Cuban Salsa) classes will be conducted from Level P0, the basic level. An enriching element of the class will be Rueda de Casino, a variation of salsa, danced in a circle. Classes will be held in pairs, an ideal means of integration between participants. During the class we will promote gender equality, each person in the class will be able to choose between two functions in a pair Leading- leading or Following- following. The workshop will be conducted in English, which contributes to the development of language skills in a friendly format.
The project, "Stop doing 'weird steps', dance salsa," promotes equality and diversity, aiming to counter discrimination. Every member of the target groups is invited to join the project, regardless of their origin, religion, gender, or other cultural differences. This contributes to building interpersonal ties, promoting tolerance and acceptance among participants.
Through this project, we provide participants with a space to practice and develop their skills. We will also provide them with relevant theoretical knowledge about the history, culture and technique of salsa.
Project objectives:
-freedom of movement on the dance floor, based on the figures learned,
-to stop racial or cultural discrimination
-finding a passion, a place to de-stress
-making new friends, integrating Warsaw sections
-self-development
-improving physical fitness
