On the 11th of November it's Saint Martin's Day, patronal festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna, a small village just ten minutes far from Rimini.
ESN Rimini brought erasmus students to visit this medieval village on Friday afternoon: street food, walking hot roasted chestnuts and typical wine tasting were just some of the things erasmus and international students did to get even more into Italian culture by wandering around Santarcangelo.
The goal of the Activity was to make them discover a small ancient but famous village which still jealously preserves its charm.
Esners and erasmus students went to Santarcangelo by train in ten minutes and they immediately started the city tour. Points of interests had been: the Ancient Printing House of the village, the small square over the Jupiter Hill (because the village was born over a hill, as often happened during medieval times), the Ganganelli Arch, the Torre Campanaria, the Chiesa Collegiata and some other smaller churches.
Before the tour Esn coordinators shared a document containing the information and curiosities about Santarcangelo. Erasmus had to read it and then during the tour they had a quiz and had to answer correctly to get some prizes.
Right after the tour esners and erasmus went all together to the carousels and the fun fair and finally to get some traditional street food.
