Spring Hike

Join us on a one-day hiking trip and witness the beauty of Finnish nature in spring time! We’ll be heading to Kirskaanniemi, a camping site south of Tampere and located right next to a picturesque lake.

Departure for the trip is from the Vuoreksen Koulu bus stop. We encourage you to take the bus number 5 that arrives at the bus stop at 10:51. If you arrive by foot or by bike, be there by 11:00. We’ll then head south to the forest and take a scenic walking route to Kirskaanniemi. There are two lean-to huts, many campfire sites, lots of firewood and a beautiful lake. A great chance to enjoy small campfire snacks offered by ESN FINT, chat with nice people and relax in the woods!

We will be back at the bus stop campus by around 17:00, depending on your starting time. The total walking distance for the hike is around 10km and the time

Be prepared with proper equipment for walking in a forest. The paths are well-maintained but can be rather slippery, so good shoes are a must. Remember to also pack something to drink and eat during the trip. Participants will receive more instructions via email, so please sign up through Kide.

NOTE: If the weather is rainy and lousy we will move the date of the event!
