Goal of the Activity

The purpose of the activity was to organize a relaxing Sunday to discover two of the most beautiful and fascinating Umbrian cities. The medieval towns of Spoleto and Montefalco represent, in fact, the perfect prototype of the Umbrian town par excellence: perched on green hills, in a maze of small, narrow and picturesque streets. The visit to the wineries, however, had the purpose of bringing Erasmus closer to the culture of wine, to the tradition behind its production. We wanted them to understand the steps that lead to the making of the bottles that we often buy at the supermarket without any awareness.

Description

The section has accompanied Erasmus to the discovery of the wonderful medieval villages of Spoleto and Montefalco. After the guided tour, held during the morning, we ventured among the typical and fragrant wine cellars of Montefalco, for a tasting of the best wines of the region. The guys had the chance to see live the process of fermentation of must and to taste the final product, appreciating the taste of high quality wine. Montefalco's wineries are the real and proper treasure of Umbria, a tradition handed down from generation to generation.
