The goal of the activity was to collect long-lasting food (e.g. canned food), clothes and toys, covering them in a Christmas wrap and giving them to people who need this gift.
Last Christmas, ESN Greece decided to kick off a Secret Santa, but we did not intend to exchange gifts with each other. We decided to make a gift to people who really need it, to people who would be filled with joy by a Secret Santa at Christmas. For that reason, we suggested collecting long-lasting food (e.g. canned food), clothes and toys, covering them in a Christmas wrap and giving them to people who need this gift. So, from Wednesday 15th of December until Wednesday 22nd of December, we organized office hours in 4 different cities and invited ESNers, the local community, and stakeholders to spread the holiday spirit and give gifts to the people around us!
The project was supported by crowdfunding of products. Everyone who came during office hours brought products from a list.
The list contained:
- Baby milk
- Cereal bars
- Dried fruits & nuts
- Cookies & croissants (without filling)
- Bottled water 500ml
- Juices & soft drinks 330ml & 500ml
- Legumes
- Rice
- Spaghetti
- Long-lasting cans & tins
- Tomato paste
- Diapers
- Non-plush toys for children 2-16 years old: Preschool, educational, plasticine, bricks, board games, etc.
