The aim of the event was to take the Erasmus students to visit a small village near the city of Rimini, unknown to many of them but full of Italian history and tradition.
ESN Rimini organised an exclusive tour in english for all participants in collaboration with the Pro Loco Association of Santarcangelo. After reaching the small town by train in just five minutes from Rimini, the group of Erasmus students and volunteers began a tour lasting about two hours with a guide. In addition to the history of the present monuments of the village, erasmus and international students were able to hear small anecdotes about how the locals lived in the Middle Ages and during the historical evolution. Thanks to the tour, they were able to visit an underground quarry used in antiquity for storing food and later as a shelter for the population during the First World War. At the end of the tour, a small optional aperitif was organised by the volunteers to enjoy the view of the sunset over the hills of Romagna.
