During our first Erasmus in Schools of the semester we went to Bocairent on the 25th of November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women). We proposed this theme and wanted to promote our cause.
We also wanted local students to know about Erasmus program, speak English in a different dynamic than the usual and Erasmus students to meet local students and visit a rural town.
The activity was structured in 3:
Presentation: we presented Erasmus+ program, what is ESN and our volunteers.
Erasmus presentation: Erasmus students prepared a ppt about themselves, where they talked about their country and who the chose Spain for their Erasmus. They also shared their experience so far in Valencia.
Conversation Groups + Inclusion dynamic: we divided the 50 local students in 3 groups of 10 (10 per Erasmus) and a group of 20 (with the 2 volunteers). In the groups of 10 they were able to ask more personal questions and talk about the situation of women in their countries. In the group of 20 we prepared the thermometer dynamic, where they could share how inclusive they thought their school is.
Afterwards, the school had prepared some typical local sweets and gave a tour around the school so they could see a Spanish educational center.
Finally they were able to visit the village. We had prepared a picnic for Erasmus and volunteers (sandwich, water and a piece of fruit) payed by ESN València UPV. Transport was paid by ESN Spain national subvention.
