Goal of the Activity
To integrate the exchange students in the main local festivity and party of the city of Vigo, so we make them a tour to explain to them the history of the celebration and how they can take advantage of the party during that weekend (explaining them the traditions to do, the food to eat, etc.)
Description
We first made a historical introduction to why we celebrate Reconquista (because we were the first city in Spain to recover our land from the French invador army, during Spanish War of Independence (1808-1814), and then we walked along the old route of the wall so we explain the main characters of the celebration, the key dates and main events, the traditional food, the traditional market, the traditional music, the traditional Galician suit...
