-Inclusion of the local population in the workshops for cultural enrichment.
The project consists of two parts for both sections:
Organize a day of coexistence and workshops covering the causes of ESN. A day in which both ESNers and Erasmus students came to Extremadura (specifically to Badajoz) to get to know us and enrich themselves with the IS activities that we carry out in our section. The activities started at 11:30 in the morning and ended at 18:30 in the afternoon.
ESN UEx carried out the following activities:
City tour : Starting at Puerta Palma and ending at the Alcazaba where the rest of the activities took place.
Sustainability workshop : took place in the Alcazaba, where sustainable pens and purses were made with recycled material.
Traditional Extremaduran games were also played at the Alcazaba.
Regional Lunch with typical products of our area: it took place in a local (La Pecera) where we were provided with all these typical products of our region and drinks. In this way the volunteers did not have to handle the food and we took advantage of the resting place to make the cultural tandem.
Cultural Tandem: This took place after lunch in the same place, where they participated in a quiz about Spanish and Extremadura culture.
As a second part of the project, an excursion was made to Évora, where a day of coexistence was organized by them and create this enrichment in reverse.
This excursion to Évora lasted from 11 a.m. when we arrived in the city until 6 a.m. when we returned to Extremadura, leaving the bus to the volunteers and erasmus in their respective cities.
In the day of coexistence in Évora we did the following :
City tour: to show the students the most emblematic places of the city.
Free time for lunch: so that the students could taste Portuguese products prepared by the Portuguese section.
Finally, there were some dynamics focused on social inclusion
