Show the rich history, culture, and key landmarks of Prague, fostering a deeper connection to the city and encouraging cultural exchange. The event aimed to provide participants with an engaging educational experience while also creating a social environment where they could interact with fellow students, explore the city’s heritage, and feel more integrated into their host country.
The Prague Tour was organized to introduce international students to the historical and cultural highlights of Prague. The event began at Václavské náměstí, where we gathered under the famous statue of St. Wenceslas. We provided students with a brief introduction to the history of St. Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia, and the significance of the location.
From there, we proceeded to the Lucerna Passage, followed by a visit to the iconic Prašná brána. Our next stop was Staroměstské náměstí, where we talked about the Astronomical Clock (Orloj) and the historical event of the Prague Defenestration.
The tour continued towards the Charles Bridge, one of Prague's most famous landmarks, where we shared the story of St. John of Nepomuk. The students also had a chance to learn about Prague Castle and its history.
We concluded the tour in a traditional Czech style—by enjoying a refreshing glass of Czech beer.
