The goal of the activity was to promote cultural exchange and understanding in a visual and engaging way by celebrating the diversity of Christmas and holiday traditions across ESN countries. This was achieved by creating an interactive map and a curated playlist, allowing volunteers to explore and enjoy holiday customs and songs from various ESN countries. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of cultural practices, foster inclusivity, and connect volunteers globally through shared experiences, while highlighting the importance of cultural heritage in building connections within the ESN community.
The"Playlist of the Holiday Season and New Year" was an initiative launched by ESN Türkiye, with contributions from ESN Austria, ESN Belgium, ESN Denmark, ESN Hungary, and ESN Slovenia. It aimed to celebrate the festive spirit of Christmas and New Year's through music, fostering cultural exchange within the ESN community. The project featured an interactive map (https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=16aaPKMh-p3YehFx6JA2jZsgjoAfNobI&usp=sharing) showcasing holiday songs from different ESN countries, each song reflecting the unique traditions and festive culture of that country. Participants could explore the map, listen to the curated Spotify (music application used) playlist (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5NVMbXMJEaGtumY4ssgq7B?si=a4bdc6173d5…), and learn about the cultural significance of each song through a booklet prepared by one of the National Committees of ESN Türkiye: International Strategy Committee.
