The goal of our events is to help students get to know the city and it's surroundings.
Also we want to bring them together to find new friends and get to know other cultures, for this we organize different events like parties, trips, sports events and many more.
We published the event with this description:
Come with us to the Pink Christmas market in the Glockenbachviertel !
Finally, the Advent season has a meaning again: The small, fine, wonderful Christmas market Pink Christmas is back! After two years of forced break, Munich's Stephansplatz shines again daily from 21.11. to 23.12. all in pink. And with all the zing and zap: great mulled wine, delicious food, original gift ideas, in the evenings from 6 p.m. sounds with DJ James Munich or DJ "Die tektonische Plattenverschiebung" and every Sunday travesty show with Gene Pascale. Pink Christmas remains "place to be" for the LGBTIQ* community, neighbors, friends and Christmas market fans from all over the world!
But there is more behind Pink Christmas than "just" a Christmas market. Anyone who, like Robert Maier-Kares, comes from the LGBTIQ* community and has had to fight for recognition at various levels for many years, knows that solidarity and commitment are high goods. This is also evident at Pink Christmas. The fact that the Munich Aids-Hilfe runs a benefit tent there and that other non-profit organizations have also been able to collect donations here has been a good custom from the very beginning. This year, two special activities will be added: First, there will be a donation fund for the benefit of distressed members of the LGBTIQ* community who, for example, are under financial pressure due to high energy prices. In addition, the organizers are joining the boycott of the Men's World Cup in Qatar: "A country that disregards human rights, discriminates against and persecutes LGBTIQ* should not be allowed to bask in the light of the biggest international sporting event of the year," Maier-Kares said. He has long since moved away from the idea of broadcasting parts of this Winter World Cup at the Christmas market.
It also has a message on the climate crisis: Pink Christmas is the first (and so far only) climate-neutral Christmas market in Munich. A significant share of the electricity consumption is self-produced, the market is certified climate neutral and also makes compensation payments. As he has already done in his ice cream parlor "Eismeer", Robert Maier-Kares has now also implemented the environmental idea at Pink Christmas and is thus likely to be a pioneer far beyond the city's borders.
We are happy that we can finally be doing this again - and above all we are looking forward to enjoying this you!
One shot is included in the price then we will go together to the Christmas market and probably get Glühwein and food.
