Piatra Mare Hike

We would like to invite you to the first hike  of the year! On Saturday, May 15th, we would love it if you joined us on the following  trail: Dambu Morii – 7 Ladders Canyon– Piatra Mare Hut - Piatra Mare Peak (if the Canyon is closed we will take an alternative route).
Meeting point is at Brasov’s train station at 9 AM. From there we will take the 17B  bus which leaves just a bit later. (Keep in mind that the next bus in this direction is only at 11 AM so be on time).
Expenses :
- 5 lei for the bus tickets  (2 rides).
- 5 lei the entrance  in the canyon (10 lei without student discount so take your ID. with you)

If you would like to join us to the peak  it’s an additional 1 h from the hut ( Cabana Piatra Mare) to the peak ( Vf. Piatra Mare)
These items should be on your hiking checklist :
- Hiking backpack.
- Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers)
- Hiking boots or shoes.
- Plenty of food.
- Plenty of water. ( aprox. 2L)
Some additional things  you could bring along are:
- Navigation tools such as a map and compass, phone with the trail downloaded.
- First-aid kit.
- Knife or multi-tool.
