Presenting an area of the region Campania not normally visited. Showing the tradition of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and a company that produces it in a sustainable way. Exploring the archeological park and museum of Paestum, discovering the history of the region and its connections to Greek and Roman civilizations.
The trip involved 2 principal destinations:
the Vannulo mozzarella facility which employs a sustainable method to produce one of the best mozzarellas, taking care of the buffalos and manufacturing at KM 0. A guded tour and an opportunity to taste the mozzarella was offered, and some time was spent basking in the sun in a beautiful garden.
The Paestum archeological park, which offered a full immersion in a Greek and later Roman city; and a fascinating visit to the museum which not only gave the opportunity to learn more about what we had been seeing, but also enjoy a creative clay workshop. The Erasmus students were given freedom to explore and lose themselves in the history.
