The Goal of this event is to discover smaller cities in Bulgaria and what they have to offer
Ovech trip is a bewildering day trip to one of the smaller cities near Varna - Provadia. As we aim for more sustainable transportation we choose to go to our designated location by train and in our opinion this only adds on the cultural experience.
In provadia we went to the Ovech fortress. Once there our volunteers shared some of the fortress’s history and we looked around taking in the beautiful scenery.
Another thing we aim to do is support small local businesses so after leaving the fortress we went for lunch in a little local restaurant. There we enjoyed a traditional Bulgarian meal. Afterwards we went for some ice-cream and had a bit of free time to explore around the city or chill and have a break. After we got home for the still untried we went to the Varna lighthouse to watch the colorful sunset.
