The goal of the activity was that of raising awareness on the exploitative practices of the Fast Fashion industry and to display the negative impacts that fast fashion has on the society, giving informations on the condition of garments' factories workers. These workers, who mainly are women and minors located in developing countries, earn less than 6% of the final retail price of the product that they made and they work in unsafe places with precarious hygienic conditions. We wanted to push participants to considerate this issue when shopping online, to meditate on their decisions and to act less as consumers and more as humans.
Participants were given informations and insights on this topic through an article published in our website and shared on our social media channels: Facebook and Instagram. We tested participants' knowledge of the topic through a series of quiz on our instagram profile's stories. Then, we asked them to help the community and to share names of ethical brands which do not exploit workers.
