The event "Host an Erasmus for Christmas too" aimed to offer international students far from home a warm and welcoming Christmas experience, allowing them to enjoy Italian traditions. It promoted inclusion, solidarity, and cultural exchange, fostering connections between students and local communities in a spirit of warmth and sharing.
During the holiday season, ESN Trento launched the initiative "Host an Erasmus for Christmas Too", a project designed to offer international students unable to return home the opportunity to experience the warmth of an Italian Christmas.
Through this initiative, volunteers from several ESN Italy sections opened their homes to host international students for a Christmas lunch or dinner. The aim was to provide these young people, far from home, with a special day filled with conviviality and Italian traditions, making Christmas a moment of inclusion and solidarity.
The day became a unique opportunity for cultural exchange: volunteers and students shared stories and traditions while enjoying typical Italian Christmas dishes, creating an atmosphere of dialogue and mutual enrichment. The initiative broke down cultural and linguistic barriers, offering all participants an unforgettable experience.
"Host an Erasmus for Christmas Too" embodies the spirit of Christmas: hospitality, sharing, and the desire to build genuine connections. Once again, we demonstrated ourselves as an open community, ready to make every international student feel part of a big family, even far from home.
