Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights

The goal of the activity visiting the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights in Vilnius for international students was to provide them with a deeper understanding of Lithuania's complex history and the struggles it faced during periods of occupation. By exploring the museum's exhibits and artifacts, students had the opportunity to learn about the nation's past, including the Soviet and Nazi occupations, as well as the Lithuanian resistance movements. The activity aimed to promote awareness, empathy, and critical thinking among participants, encouraging them to reflect on the importance of freedom and human rights. Additionally, by engaging with Lithuania's history in a meaningful way, the activity sought to foster cultural appreciation and a sense of solidarity among international students with their Lithuanian hosts.
