Goal of the Activity
Our main goal was to introduce international students to the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Modena.
Description
International students were guided through the streets of Modena by ESN Modena volunteers. The city tour started in Parco Giardini Ducali Estense with an introduction to the history of Modena and the Estense Duchy. The tour continued along Corso Canalgrandre towards via Emilia, with a stop at the statue of Luciano Pavarotti and teatro comunale. All following stops - Teatro Storchi, Piazza XX settembre, Piazza Grande with ghirlandina tower and Duomo, Piazza Roma and ducal palace, Novi Sad, palazzo dei musei - all were paired with information and historical facts about the cultural attractions.
