The goal of this activity was to increase the awareness of both international and local students regarding what migration and refuge actually mean. Moreover, we also want to bring into light the barriers that migrants and refugees face in terms of social inclusion in their host societies.
Today, more people than ever live in a country other than the one in which they were born. International migrants comprise 3,5% of the global population.
One of the benefits of immigration is enhancing cultural diversity and helping us recognize and respect "ways of being" that are not necessarily our own.
If you want to know more about migration and its impact on different communities, join us on our Migration and Diversity Workshop, which will be held online.
