Description
I am very stressed, I feel that I am locked in the 4 walls, I feel that things are escalating without me participating in these. These are 3 phrases that many of us have been saying lately.
But how can we have a positive impact on the lives of the people we contact with and how can they help us? The basic psychosocial skills are the most important tool to help others feel better. In this workshop we will learn how we can use these skills to take care of ourselves and make people around us feel that we support them through our contact.
Through some exercises and discussion, we will try in a first stage to explore the following topics:
- Knowledge of mental health first aid - Basic principles
- Stress recognition and management (relaxation techniques)
- Self-care
- Ways to support people experiencing stress
- Cultivation of active listening skills
