Goal of the Activity

Mental Health Awareness Week was to spread awareness and normalize mental health care. Participants of the event had the opportunity to draw attention to how they can take care of themselves and their well-being in various aspects so that they do not lose control over it.

Description

Mental Health Awareness Week is a series of weekly lectures and workshops related to mental health in a broad sense. It aimed to normalize taking care of one's well-being in times of constant rush and cult of productivity. The speakers presented issues related to our psyche in a light and accessible way, so that everyone could easily understand why mental health is important, and how easy it can be to nurture it on a daily basis.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we talked about where to get that help and why you shouldn't be afraid to ask for it. There were also workshops on self-care, mindfulness and meditation for people who wanted to learn how to nurture their own well-being or practice stopping, being here and now. The use of art in therapy, the impact of diet on our mental health, time management, and many other activities were also covered.
