Goal of the Activity

The objective of the activity is to motivate vocational training students to know first-hand what the Erasmus project is, how it works and how the Erasmus experiences of both outgoing and incoming mobility students have been and are being. Among the objectives pursued is to break the stigma that students in vocational training have about going to study abroad and to show them that not only international students have this opportunity but also to inform them about other possibilities of mobility in the future. On the other hand we have also added a part in which we pursue that they know the culture of the Erasmus students attending the activity and that they have a dynamic with them where both students and Erasmus can enrich themselves culturally in a mutual way at the same time that we inculcate the main values of the EU.

Description

The activity was carried out in a vocational training institute in front of 11 students of a higher module, since in Seville we also try to promote mobility in VET centres. We were within the VET Pilot Project at an international level and we are still fighting to achieve it.

The following activity consists of several parts:

In a first moment a presentation about ESN and the Erasmus program as well as the different mobility possibilities that can be found, either practical Erasmus, university, etc etc especially in Vocational Training.

Second, we made a presentation as outgoing students describing our experience, mixing an Erasmus+ coordinator with an Erasmus internship coordinator and then the Erasmus from Hungary and Italy talked about their countries and their experience in the country (it was also an Erasmus+ and an Erasmus internship) to get more diversity.

Thirdly, we made two groups and mixed the international students with the professional training students performing different dynamics so that they could interact and exchange European values together. They were able to get to know each other more easily and discover small details that had previously gone unnoticed.

Finally, we did a final Kahoot to test what things about the EU they had learned and we handed out a few details of ESN Seville for the winners.
