The main goal of this activity was to show the international students the beauty of the city of Mantova, which might be not as well-known abroad as other bigger Italian cities but is nonetheless extremely beautiful. This type of activity can also help create or strenghten friendship bonds among the international students.
We as ESN ASE Verona met with the coordinators of Mantova Student Network, who accompanied us during our stay in their city. First, we went to eat some typical bakery products for breakfast and after that, we entered Ducale Palace to see some pieces of art showcasing people linked with the place. In the afternoon, the students from Mantova took us on a guided tour of the city, where we learned about the story of the main tourist attractions and we ended the day sharing some food and refreshing drinks sitting together by the lake. Erasmus students were mesmerized by the beauty of the city, and appreciated the mix between culture and nature they experienced that day.
