The goal of the Local Erasmus Games is to promote intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and healthy lifestyles by bringing together international and local students through friendly sports competitions. By fostering gender-balanced teams and encouraging participation from diverse backgrounds, the event aims to break down stereotypes, support mental and physical well-being, and strengthen the sense of community among young people in an informal and fun environment.
The Local Erasmus Games is a dynamic, inclusive sports event designed to unite international and local students through the power of friendly competition, cultural exchange, and team spirit. Held on March 2nd at USAMV, the event offered participants the chance to compete in Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, and individual sprint races (100m & 150m).
More than just a sports tournament, the event emphasized diversity, gender equality, and intercultural dialogue, requiring mixed-gender teams and encouraging participation regardless of athletic ability. Whether students joined to compete or simply to support and socialize, the Local Erasmus Games created an open space for making international friends, celebrating cultural differences, and promoting physical and mental well-being in a fun, informal setting.
