We took the 9:06 train towards Bolzano to get off at Peri station (the journey time by train was 30 minutes). Arrived at the station of Peri, after taking a short break, we walked 1h to get to the "Sentiero della Speranza", where we started hiking for about 2h. The path led us first to a concrete cross with a beautiful view of the Adige Valley and then to a steep zigzag staircase carved into the rock. Then, passing the stairs with over 1,500 steps, we arrived at the staircase leading to the Madonna della Corona Sanctuary. Once at the church, we had lunch with packed lunch (making sure we leave the place completely clean) and we left the Erasmus students free for about an hour. We laughed, took many pictures and chated all together.
We got back with the train around 5PM.
