**General Purpose of the Project**
The general purpose of the project is to enhance the cultural experience of ESN NTUA Athens students by offering them the opportunity to discover and interact with the world of contemporary and modern art.
**Objectives**
1. **Promote Cultural Integration and Exchange, and Foster Social Interaction between International and Local Students**:
Cultural integration is a central pillar of ESN's values. By exposing students to various forms of art, we aim to enhance their understanding and respect for different cultures. Students are given the opportunity to participate in cultural events based on their preferences, fostering meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics and the exchange of ideas starting from culture. Additionally, individuals from socially vulnerable groups had the chance to visit numerous exhibitions free of charge (which would be difficult to find without the help of our volunteers).
2. **Enhance Educational Experience and Creativity**:
Our goal was to provide students with additional opportunities to enrich their educational experience and boost their creativity through exposure to modern and contemporary art.
3. **Increase Interest and Participation of Architecture and Fine Arts Students**:
These students now make up more than half of the incoming members of the association. This initiative was created as part of a more systematic effort to attract and engage both international students (who, due to the nature of their studies, are considered more challenging to engage) and potential volunteers who can later assist in the smoother integration of the former into our activities.
**Find the Art Initiative**
As part of the activities of ESN NTUA Athens, we created the "Find the Art" initiative. Every month, we posted an update online informing students about free, periodic art exhibitions focusing on modern and contemporary art in Athens. The exhibitions included were selected after careful research to ensure they:
1. **Promote a Balanced Variety of Art Forms**: We included different types of art, such as performance, photography, sculpture, painting, and mixed media, to offer a well-rounded artistic experience.
2. **Feature Both Greek and International Artists**: The initiative aimed to include works by both Greek and foreign artists, promoting the universality of art and cultural exchange.
3. **Address Themes Aligned with ESN’s Goals and Values**: The exhibitions represented topics relevant to the goals and values of ESN, fostering a deeper connection to the organization's mission.
4. **Ensure Accessibility**: We aimed to make the exhibitions as accessible as possible to everyone, ensuring that all students could participate and enjoy the cultural offerings.
